WELCOME
TO OUR NEWSLETTER BRIDES!!!

Spring has sprung and love is in the air!   I
would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of you brides on
your engagement, especially if you are recently engaged.
Your next 6 months to a year will be very busy with all the planning and
work you will be putting in towards your “BIG DAY”.

For this issue I wanted to take a few minutes and offer you some tips that
I call “Starting At The Top”

The Bridal Ensemble: Starting At The Top

Once your know that you have different options, it’s easy to top
off your bridal ensemble with the perfect look. Options can range from chic and
simple to dramatic and striking. The best advice is to take time and experiment
with different shapes, sizes and styles to find a look that suits you and
complements your gown. Let the headpiece show your personality and be
comfortable in it.

Tiara
A jeweled or beaded semicircle headpiece worn on top of your
head. The tiara is not quite a crown but has long been considered a symbol of
glamour and prosperity. Tiaras look fabulous with up-do’s as well as partial
up-do’s, the right size and shape will look very modern with short hair as well.
Wear it alone or combine it with a veil.

Headband An
embellished version of your favorite everyday style. There can be a wide variety
of widths and materials. Adorned with crystals, pearl, or rhinestones the bridal
headband can offer an easy, yet sophisticated accent to any style. Headbands are
perfect for short hair as well as longer styles because they play up your
features by gathering up your hair.

Pins and combs
Decorative hair accessories that are made of
rhinestones, crystals, floral motifs and many other designs. To give your
hairstyle a touch of elegance. Create a modern look with a clip accented with
flowers or feathers.

What
Comes First

Brides often wonder if the best plan is to start with their
hairstyle or headpiece? Either way works fine. If you are firm on a hairstyle,
because you know it suits you and looks great then start with that and find a
headpiece that will work with the style. Let your bridal consultant in on your
first decision, then she will lead the way to a perfect look for your wedding
day.Whether you plan to wear your hair long and flowing, swept up in an “up-do” or
halfway in between, you’ll find an array of headpiece options.

Gown Matters

With help from your bridal consultant, it’s easy to pair your
gown with the perfect headpiece. Just follow a few simple guidelines from your
consultant and you will find a headpiece that will accentuate your dress and style.
Coordinate the type of embellishment on the headpiece with your gown. Do not
get too “matchy matchy” Think in terms of complementing your gown.

The Finishing Touch

What if the most important accessory to the wedding gown was
forgotten? We are talking about the piece that ties the look together. The veil
is usually an essential yet overlooked piece. WE find most Brides are
knowledgeable about gowns, but the veil is new and sometimes foreign to them.
The only time you wear a veil is during your wedding. Think in terms of the
ceremony and a few pictures, then remove it . There are many styles and lengths.
They range from 18 inches long called “shoulder”, 30 inches long “elbow” to 106
inches “cathedral” and several in-between.

The design of your veil is where your personality can shine through . At Wedding
Wonderland we would love to help you with any questions you may have and show
you our unique selection of reasonably priced accessories.
